Individual Assistance with FEMA
Governor Gianforte announced on June 30, 2022 that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved the Individual Assistance program for residents impacted by the flooding disaster in Park, Stillwater, and Carbon counties. On July 22, Yellowstone County was also approved for the Individual Assistance program.

Governor Greg Gianforte has dedicated resources to support Montanans impacted by the flooding disaster, including up to $2 million to address flood related emergencies and over $5 million to support tourism reliant businesses and communities impacted by flooding. At the governor’s direction, the State of Montana is also prioritizing a grant application for $1.2 million in unused irrigation funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to repair irrigation systems damaged by the recent flooding.
The State of Montana is working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency under Montana's Presidential Major Disaster Declaration to secure additional resources for communities and individuals. Information on current resources is below.
